As you can see, there are a few programs in Testing-phase. This means that
they'll be out soon. In fact, the documentation is already written. But
I'm still waiting do see if there are bugs in them.
Also, I need to draw a new ANSi for UpLoader. That can take a while,
unless you want to draw one and donate it to me? :)
Note: The LoginCheck PEX was an older PEX for ProBoard 2.00 and is no
longer developed. BTW, it was an awful thing to see! :-)
Q: Where can I find the latest Virtual Soft Productions?
A: There are many distribution sites over Europe, see down for more
information. My PEXes can also be found on the World-Wide Web and in
the near future on a FTP-server. The easiest way is downloading them
from USS Aurora in Belgium or from my other distribution sites. But,
USS Aurora is the fastest, since my programs are hatched into TGPBN
over there.
Q: Can I see the latest Virtual Soft Productions in Action?
A: For the moment, no. I don't own a BBS. You can see some of the released
PEXes in action at one of the distribution BBSes. The PEXes which are in
Beta-phase can't be seen on a BBS, until I got my own BBS.
Q: Can I join Beta testing?
A: No, that's out of the question. Unless I write a huge program that needs
a few more Beta testers. But I'm not going to write a Fullscreen Editor
PEX in the next couple of months, maybe years! :)
And since ProBoard now has a build-in Fullscreen Editor (TheEdit Lite),
I'll probably not write an Editor.
Q: How can I write a message to you?
A: If you got an E-Mail account, you can write to odebonne@texas.knooppunt.be.
If you want to attach files to me, you *MUST* use my other account,
that's odebonne@www.dma.be! I've also got a Fidonet address, which is
2:291/1501.61. Write a Netmail if you have a specific question.
Q: Are the Virtual Soft Productions available on the Internet?
A: Finally, yes... They are stored on the server of DMA - Digitale Metropool
Antwerpen. The URL to Virtual Soft Productions and other Online info is
http://www.dma.be/p/bewoner/odebonne/. I don't have a FTP server at this
moment. Be sure to have Netscape 2.0/Internet Explorer 2.0 if you want
to see the pages in their full glory.
Q: Will you write other PEXes besides the ones above?
A: It depends... Most of these programs were written during the week after
the exams :) I have made no PEXes for the last 5 months till Februari 1996.
You see, I write in terms. Also, I study for Industrial Engineer and I've
got still something else to do instead of programming PEXes :-)
Q: Will you ever write a Chatter?
A: For this question, I can be very short, NO! TheMin, a FreeWare chatter by
[JMJ] Productions is the best chatter ever written for ProBoard, and I'm
not going to try to make a better one :-)
Also, Nosferatu Nlm is writing his chatter TCHaT GoLD, which can compete
with TheMin and has CursorKeys Control, Back-Scroll capacity and the same
features like TheMin (like Eliza, Abbreviations, ...).
Q: Will you ever write a Oneliner?
A: That's always posible... If I can figure out how to extract text-macro's
from a string! :)
As the moment I write this FAQ, there is some code for a Oneliner, but
it's still very Beta... and JMJLiner (by [JMJ]) is getting better and
better.
Q: Can I have the source code of ...?
A: No, I don't do such things. I'm sorry... but isn't it enough that all
my programs are FreeWare?
Q: Will you write levels for EgoKill?
A: Yes! Since I like that game quite a lot, I started working on level.
Besides, it was to hot to program anything in C/C++... ;) This is a list
of levels designed by me.
Filename Title EgoKill

Q: Is there a warranty on your PEXes?
A: No, absolutely not. You must be kidding, asking such a fool question :-)
But, the PEXes are well tested on my PC, and I don't think there are mayor
bugs in it when they're released.
Q: Do you have a list of supporting BBSes?
